Drop cable fiber stripper are needed to remove the buffer or coating from a fiber. The first digit in the description stands for the diameter of the closed cutting blades, e.g. the optical cladding has to be smaller than this digit. The second number is the diameter of the front bore hole, e.g. the buffer diameter must be smaller than this number.
